The introduction of this book, which covers the first 166 pages, gives an in-depth explanation of the property comprised in fines (the manor, hides, virgates etc.). Plus a good description of what fines are how they are dated, the warranty and proclamations.
Also included are lists of both the men’s and women’s names that appear in the fines.
The fines (transfers of land and property) themselves are listed by regnal year.
Useful for medieval family and social history.
